The Fort Baker Retreat Group

Cavallo Point - The Lodge at the Golden Gate is a project of The Fort Baker Retreat Group LLC, a venture of Passport Resorts LLC, Equity Community Builders LLC, and Ajax Capital LLC.

Passport Resorts is the management company that both operates and/or has substantial ownership in the internationally acclaimed Post Ranch Inn, Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort, Hotel Hana-Maui, and Sea Ranch Lodge.

Equity Community Builders is well known for its experience in historic renovation and environmentally responsible development, including historic rehabilitation projects in the Presidio of San Francisco, such as the Thoreau Center for Sustainability and The Bay School.

Ajax, a major investor in Cavallo Point, is also working with the National Park Service to develop a 150,000-square-foot sports and recreation facility in four historic airplane hangars in Brooklyn, New York.

The Retreat Group has spent the last four years planning this reinvention of Fort Baker, in consultation with the National Park Service, Parks Conservancy, and an award-winning design team to create a one-of-a-kind retreat environment.
